Venue: Strasbourg
From: 29/05/2020

Application deadline: 28/09/2019 23:59 (CET)
Description of event: This is the application form to become a Programme Partner for Yo!Fest @ the EYE 2020. Yo!Fest is the European Youth Forum's annual political youth festival. In 2020 it will take place at the European Youth Event in Strasbourg on 29-30 May, welcoming over 10,000 young people.

‘Yo!’ stands for Youth Opinion. And your role would be to ensure that the voices of our participants are heard. We welcome applications from partners who can bring expertise in their field to offer unique, fun, interesting and meaningful experiences to participants- allowing us to put young people at the centre of the debate.

Activities will be hosted just outside the European Parliament, in the Yo!Fest – a vibrant, interactive and sustainable space for participants to meet, share, debate and have fun with each other as well as decision-makers. Activities will have to be scheduled and participants will have to register online in advance. Capacity can be between 10 people and 100 people.

Why should you get involved?

The EYE2020 will be a unique advocacy and networking platform to:
- Bring a group of between 10 and 20 young people from your organisation to Strasbourg on 29-30 May 2020 to participate in the Yo!Fest - a subsidy will be provided for accommodation/travel of all participants that are EU citizens (see more details below)
- Reach out to thousands of young people from across Europe and engage them in your organisation and raise awareness about the issues you stand for
- Engage with decision-makers, shape the debate about the future of Europe and come up with solutions to the challenges we are facing
- Collaborate with organisations from around Europe in creating a programme of activities

Please note that successful partners will be asked to do the following:

- Name a project coordinator and a supervisor who will have full oversight of the activity development. This individual is expected to be present at the activity space throughout the two days of the event.
- Submit a request covering each of the areas that Youth Forum will manage such as details of logistical needs and required communication support. For each programme area, we will put in place a service level agreement specifying how responsibilities will be split between the Youth Forum and the partner.
- Engage in the appropriate activity monitoring with regular communications with the Youth Forum. The level of monitoring is a flexible system and reporting will be adapted where appropriate.
- Develop a contingency plan in case anything interferes with the partnership
- Engage in a common commitment between the Youth Forum and the partners to flexibility, transparency and communication throughout.
Selection criteria: All participants in groups partnering with the European Youth Forum that are EU citizens and between 16 and 30 years of age by 29/5/2020 are eligible for a subsidy of travel expenses by the European Parliament. Though these are not yet confirmed, they are likely to be:

- Travel expense of up to 4.5¢ per kilometre.

- Accommodation expenses of €60 per night per participant.

- Meal expenses per €40 per participant.

The requirements for being a partner are as follows:

-Submit a detailed partnership proposal outlining how you will engage with the Youth Forum, what kind of activities you can offer and how your partnership will enhance the programme.

-Provide information on how partnering at Yo!Fest will contribute to the work of your organisation and how the information you collect will be continued and feed into your work.

- Preferable to have demonstrable experience of delivering activities on a similar theme, or at a similar scale.

-Agree to abide by the concept of the event and work collaboratively to develop a holistic programme.
